Your Wedding Beauty Timeline

If you’re getting married this year, your beauty routine is definitely on your mind. First of all, congratulations and no matter what, you’re going to make a beautiful bride. Below is a treatment timeline to help guide you towards your big day.

One Month Before: Cleansing Facial

Even if you go for regular facials, you don’t want to be doing anything deep-cleansing near your big day. It is also very important to book your facial 10 to 14 days before your period.

Three Weeks Before: Hair & Makeup Test

Make sure you get a hair and makeup trial a few weeks in advance and it also gives you the opportunity to experiment with different looks, styles and products to see what works best. A great tip is to book your appointment in the morning and then keep your makeup and hairstyle throughout the day. This will give you a feel for how it holds up.

Ten Days Before: Hair Colour

It’s a rule of thumb your hair colour becomes more beautiful after two or three shampoos where the colour becomes more natural.

One Week Before: Vitamin C Derma Roller or a Facial Massage

If you’ve had a Derma Roller treatment done before and you are happy with the results this is the best time to do it. Alternatively, a facial massage will help to boost lymphatic drainage and boost circulation for a glowing complexion.

Four Days Before: Plucking & Waxing

Get your eyebrows groomed four days before the wedding. If you’re planning a bikini, underarm or other waxing, schedule it at the same time.

Two Days Before: Tanning & Massage

You can’t deny the bronze glow, so select a fake tan that’s the lightest shade (make sure to do a trial one month before the wedding, to check that you’re satisfied with the results). It would also be a great idea to book in a massage before your tanning session as it will help reduce stress, relax your muscles and improve circulation.

One Day Before: Manicure & Pedicure

The safest way to prevent a chipped manicure is to save it until the day before the wedding. Get a gel finish and hopefully, it will last throughout your honeymoon!
